Join me to experience the beautiful vibration of Reiki, welcoming it into your life as part of your own healing journey. I invite you to be attuned to both Reiki 1 & 2 with me, Sara Bird Nelson, in a sacred and supportive setting. This is a gentle, uplifting day that aligns you to Reiki energy. It is a day of personal growth, heart-centered learning, and deep connection to yourself and the world around you.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle yet powerful relaxation and healing technique. Through the light laying or hovering of hands on the body, energy is guided to where it’s most needed, helping your mind, body and spirit find their natural state of balance and harmony.

When we practice Reiki, on ourselves or others, it becomes a nurturing tool for:

  • Deep relaxation and stress release

  • Cleansing and rebalancing of your energy centers (Chakras)

  • Releasing tension and emotional heaviness

  • Resetting, rejuvenation

  • Increase in focus

  • Opening up creative channels

  • Gaining intuitive insights and actions steps that support your path forward

The Day’s Flow

We will gather in Gorham, Maine for a full, nourishing day together. Our morning will be dedicated to Reiki I, immersing ourselves in foundations, receiving your first attunement and exploring the gentle, powerful ways Reiki can support your life.

After a break for lunch, we will move to Reiki II, deepening your connection, receiving your second attunement, and learning the tools and techniques that expand your ability to share Reiki with others as well as develop a personal practice.

Class is held from 9:30-4:30. I provide water, tea, snacks and lunch.

I intentionally keep this class small so it’s as much a personal day of growth as it is a learning experience. Together, we will create a sacred space for:

  • Guided meditations

  • Reiki knowledge and practice

  • Chakra awareness

  • Developing and trusting your intuition

Already Reiki I Certified?

I teach Reiki I & II as one class. Our focus is on the energy of Reiki and how to connect to that energy. This is always a great review even if you feel like you know and understand this connection already. I invite you to open up to the review and take the full day. You may choose to participate in the Reiki I attunement, although it is not necessary as you never lose your connection to Reiki. However, based on previous classes, students have chosen to feel the power of the attunement again. I promise, you won’t regret spending the day in the energy of Reiki, deepening your practice.

Course Material:

My suggested reading is the book "Essential Reiki: A Complete Guide to an Ancient Healing Art" by Diane Stein. This book provides an extended dialogue around Reiki. You may find this at your local bookstore or on Amazon, I will also be providing additional material the day of our class. Please plan on bringing a journal, pen/pencil to take notes.

About Sara

  • Sara began her journey with Reiki over 15 years ago, being certified in Reiki I in 2009.

  • She is Master/Teacher attuned to Usui Ryoho Reiki, Holy Fire Reiki III and Lightarian Reiki.

  • Sara co-teaches Reiki at the University of Southern Maine.

  • She has a Reiki practice in Gorham, Maine and an international practice online.

Levels of Reiki

  • Reiki I

    The Attunement heals on a physical level. This is a direct connection with oneself or the person receiving Reiki. This is the opening to the flow of Reiki Energy.

  • Reiki II

    The Attunement heals on an emotional, mental and karmic level. You are connected to the first three symbols of Reiki. You are attuned to provide distance Reiki.

  • Reiki Master/Teacher

    Each level of Reiki increases the flow of Reiki energy. Master/Teacher is a mastery of the art of Reiki. You are connected to the Master Symbols and become a teacher of Reiki.
